New Season, New Seaweed Prints
As the seasons change, so do the seaweeds we find washed up or floating free, and like everything else in nature, Spring is the start of a new season under the waves too.
Unlike modern fleeting trends, to us, seaweeds carry a sense of meaning. They remind us to slow down, to notice the subtle beauty around us, and help us stay connected to the natural world.
With the growing awareness on sustainability, seaweed is forefront in showing resilience and adaptability - It thrives in the constantly shifting tides year after year, and requires no human aid to do this.
So far this year we've had a couple of quick forages at our local beaches and have come home with a handful of absolutely beautiful examples - Fan Weeds, Pepper Dulse and a really vivid Sea Lettuce have featured so far - there are also two very wiry seaweeds that we have yet to identify. All have been pressed and dried, and Jon has produced some of them as prints which are now available to buy. You can view them all on our New Seaweed Prints page.

It's also been lovely welcoming so many people into our little studio gallery over the Easter holidays too, and we really hope we have inspired many of you to have a go at pressing your own seaweeds.
